X.Org Foundation Elects New Board Members
Members of the X.Org Foundation have elected new members to their board of directors to oversee this project that's critical to the Linux desktop.
Those that were elected (or in some cases re-elected) to continue serving on the X.Org Board of Directors is Alex Deucher, Matthias Hopf, Keith Packard, and Matt Dew. The only new name on the list is Matt Dew, the one that's been working on documentation, while the rest were already serving on the board and just had their terms extended by two years. Those that didn't make it were Jeremy Huddleston and Marc Balmer, per the pre-election coverage.
They barely had enough members voting to meet the minimum 25% quorum to carry out an official election. Only 40 of 144 members voted this year, which comes in at just 27.77%.
Now there's only six months left until XDS in Franconia/Bavaria to celebrate 25 years of X11.
