Flashrom Update Handles Flashing More Hardware

Flashrom 0.9.5 supports Parallel/LPC/FWH/SPI flash interfaces and currently can handle 288 flash chip types, 177 different chipsets, and 374 different motherboards are known to work with this open-source community-focused project. Flashrom allows the flashing to be done from the Linux desktop with only root access being required. Flashrom can also handle features like cross-flashing and hot-flashing. Besides Linux, Flashrom is also known to work under Mac OS X, Solaris, BSD, and even DOS.
Some of the user-visible improvements to Flashrom 0.9.5 include support for new chips, AMD Hudson chipset support, Intel Tunnelcreek chipset support, Linux SPI sub-system support, and support for Intel Hardware Sequencing and Intel locks.
