For those wanting to see another polarized discussion taking place within the Fedora camp, similar to the Fedora rolling-release discussion, drop by the mailing list.

This time around the developers are discussing LLVM within Fedora and whether its a potential replacement to GCC. The discussion began here and was sparked by an independent contributor mentioning Apple is using LLVM more within their Xcode environment to ultimately replace GCC.

LLVM is being used within the Fedora world in the case of Mesa/Gallium3D just as it's being used upstream, to build the hfsplus-tools package, and in other small cases, but still GCC reigns supreme in the Red Hat camp.
