Corel Releases Professional Linux Photo Software

Announced this week during CES in Las Vegas is AfterShot Pro, which is Corel's new photo software and it's available natively for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux platforms.
Corel AfterShot Pro is intended to compete with Adobe's Photoshop Lightroom software, which currently has no native Linux support. AfterShot Pro is designed to deliver competitive performance (it's multi-threaded), RAW imaging support, flexible photo manager, robust meta-data tools, non-destructive editing, batch processing, and many other features.
Corel is offering this multi-platform photo software at a price of $99 USD. The company does also offer a download trial of the closed-source photo editing software.
More details on the Linux release can be found from the Corel press release and the product page.
