MATE 1.10 has been released today and with this new version every component of this open-source desktop environment forked from GNOME2 can be built under GTK2 or GTK3.

While each MATE 1.10 component can be built with GTK3, the GTK3 tool-kit support is still considered experimental. Besides the optional GTK3 support there's an external manager for Caja, ePub support in Atril, many memory leak fixes, theme support hass improved, and there's many other changes throughout.
