Linux Mint 17.2 Officially Released With Cinnamon/MATE Flavors

Just a few short weeks after the Rafaela 17.2 RCs, Linux Mint 17.2 has been officially released this morning in the form of the Cinnamon and MATE desktop spins.

Linux Mint 17.2 -- like the earlier 17.x releases -- are based off Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. Atop Ubuntu 14.04 the 17.2 release adds in the Cinnamon 2.6 and MATE 1.10 desktop versions. This release also has improvements for PPA handling, update manager improvements, the MDM 2.0 display manager, and an assortment of other changes.
