Linux 4.5-rc6 Kernel Released

Linux 4.5-rc6 is now out in the wild and marks eight days worth of changes due to the early release of 4.5-rc5. Linus Torvalds has yet to issue any 4.5-rc6 announcement on the kernel mailing list, but in monitoring the kernel code daily, it was a rather heavy week with many fixes having landed. We'll see soon as any LKML release announcement out there how worried Torvalds is or not with the uptick in pull requests.
Of interest to Phoronix readers with Linux 4.5-rc6 is a number of Intel Skylake support improvements. If you aren't familiar with the overall new feature work for Linux 4.5, read our Linux 4.5 feature overview.
Linux 4.5 should be officially released by the end of March.
Update: The official 4.5-rc6 release announcement is now available.
