Linus Torvalds released the Linux 4.3-rc7 kernel hours earlier than normal due to traveling to Korea for the Linux Kernel Summit.

The Linux 4.3-rc7 changes are larger than -rc6 due to some networking fixes and other slightly larger pulls, but overall, Linus is happy with the current state of affairs and will likely release Linux 4.3 next Sunday. He noted, "And despite that slight increase in size, nothing looks particularly worrisome, and this release cycle still seems to be going smoothly. As already alluded to, next week is kernel summit, and with a lot of the core maintainers being busy in Seoul, I'm assuming things stay calm and unless anything odd happens, I'll do the final 4.3 next Sunday (back in my usual timezone by then)."

He wrote that in the release announcement. If you're not familiar with the state of the Linux 4.3 kernel, see our feature overview and daily benchmarks at
