Linux 4.1 Improvements For The Google Pixel 2 & Xbox One Controllers
Dmitry Torokhov sent in the input driver updates on Tuesday and there's a few exciting changes. First, the Atmel MXT driver has been updated so it works on Google's new Pixel 2 Chromebook to support both the touchpad and touchscreen. This will be good for those wishing to load their own Linux distribution on the Broadwell-powered Google Chromebook Pixel 2 and use an upstream kernel.
A nice addition for Linux gamers on Linux 4.1 is that those using a Microsoft Xbox One controller now have support for the force feedback / rumble mode of the controller.
Last but not least is a new VMware VMMouse driver, which should be better than the earlier version that required its X driver to have root privileges.
