LINUX KERNEL
It's coming a day later than anticipated, but the seventh weekly update for the Linux 4.0 kernel is now available.

Linus Torvalds has yet to issue any sort of 4.0-rc7 release announcement (as of writing this article) while it was tagged a while ago in Git, but by judging from the development activity over the past eight days, it was another busy week of bug-fixing. Presumably it was due to Easter with the belated Linux 4.0-rc7 release.

Linux 4.0 brings numerous new features and improvements and will most likely be released in the next week or two. More details to come.

UPDATE: The 4.0-rc7 release announcement has been posted.
