Linux 4.0-rc3 Kernel Released, An "Entirely Normal" Release

Linux 4.0-rc2 was released late so the 4.0-rc3 cycle was shorter than usual but overall Linus characterizes this update as a normal release candidate. There wasn't much happening and just the usual churn taking place for basic regression fixes.
Details on the just-released Linux 4.0-rc3 kernel can be found via the kernel mailing list. The Linux 4.0 kernel brings with it many new features as outlined earlier this cycle.
