Code Merged This Week For Linux 3.20/4.0 Is Just As Exciting As Last Week

Last weekend I covered the changes so far for the next kernel release, which will be called either Linux 3.20 or Linux 4.0 depending upon Linus Torvalds' end decision. This week more exciting code has landed.

Among the changes merged after the feature overview posted last weekend, the highlights have included:

- Continued work on improving Btrfs RAID 5 / 6 support.

- Improved support for Toshiba laptop functionality and other x86 ACPI driver updates.

- VirtIO 1.0 on the kernel-side.

- Support for new ARM platforms.

- A ton of exciting open-source DRM graphics driver work!

- Many staging area updates.

The merge window will likely be over on Sunday.
