Libinput 1.9 new features include support for touchpads using pressure-based palm detection, ignoring extra fingers while the pointer-controlling finger is moving, reworked acceleration for trackpoints / pointing sticks, debouncing is now applied automatically to pointer devices, the tablet-mode switch on hybrid laptops/tablets now disables other events to avoid fake touches, and various other improvements.
