Godot 1.1 Engine Now In Beta
Version 1.1 of Godot, an impressive open-source game engine, is now out in beta form.
The Godot 1.1 Engine upgrade is working towards rewritten auto-completion for the engine's code editor, a new visual shader editor, a new API for managing screens/windows, rewritten 2D engine, 2D navigational polygon support, a new dark theme, and many other changes.
The largely rewritten 2D engine includes support for shaders, 2D materials, 2D lights, 2D shadows, 2D normal mapping, back-buffer compositing, and many other changes.
Game developers interested in the Godot 1.1 Beta from this week can find all of the details at GodotEngine.org.
