Genode OS 16.02 Ported To RISC-V CPU Architecture

The prominent features of Genode OS 16.02 include a port to the RISC-V CPU architecture, secure pass-through of USB devices to virtual machines, and updates to their Muen and seL4 kernels.
With interest from many parties building around the RISC-V open-source hardware architecture, the Genode crew added the architecture support to their base hardware kernel. This Genode OS RISC-V support should now be working with the Spike instruction emulator and RISC-V implemented atop Zynq FPGAs.
More details on the changes for the Genode OS 16.02 release can be found at Genode.org.
The Genode road-map for the year has removal of legacy APIs, cross-kernel binary compatibility, Tor networking, block encryption, Genode on Xen, on-target building of packages, and other features on their agenda for this calendar year.
