GTK4's Vulkan Renderer Is Close To Complete

While we talked about the GTK+ 3.92 changes last week, Clasen's take on this new release is interesting, especially as it concerns the Vulkan renderer with the GTK Scene Kit. Matthias comments that this new Vulkan renderer is now "close to complete."
The Vulkan renderer is handling almost all rendering necessary without running into software fallbacks with Cairo. He mentions the only missing feature in this new renderer right now is support for blurred shadows. Vulkan in GTK+ 3.92 has its own glyph cache, proper handling of text, support for blurs / repeat nodes / blend modes / cross-faces, and more. The GTK Inspector now also provides some Vulkan information too.
Clasen's commentary about GTK+ 3.92 can be read at blog.gtk.org.
