Rob Clark continues making great progress on his Freedreno Gallium3D graphics driver for providing open-source support for Qualcomm's Adreno graphics hardware.

While Qualcomm submitted some A4xx DRM driver code and that kernel-side A4xx support is now mostly squared away with Linux 3.19, in recent days Rob finally got the Freedreno Gallium3D driver support for the A4xx series in good standing for 3D. He's been hacking on the A4xx Gallium3D code for the past few months while now it's starting to become usable for end-users.

Rob shared in a new post that he finally figured out the cause of incorrect rendering within the Xonotic game and with that fix now in upstream Mesa, he considers the Freedreno A4xx support to be usable. Not only is it usable, but he's getting very good results out of this mobile hardware.
