Firefox 38 Adds Responsive Image Support, Ruby Annotations

Mozilla Firefox 38 is being officially released today and with this open-source web browser update comes new functionality.

The stable release of Firefox 38 brings responsive image support via the picture element and source set attribute to img, WebSockets support in the Web Worker thread separate from the UI, ruby annotation markup support, the BroadcastChannel client-side message passing API has been added to let multiple tabs/windows communicate, new tab-based preferences, a copy command was added to the developer console, and WebRTC now has multi-stream and renegotiation support. Firefox 38 is also going to serve as the base for the next Firefox ESR release.
