Fedora 24 Prepares For Its Beta Release
Due to delays, Fedora 24 won't be shipping officially until June, but the F24 Beta is the next major milestone. As of yesterday, Fedora 24 has been under a freeze for the forthcoming beta.
During this freeze, only blocker and freeze exception bugs will be landing. Yesterday also marked the 100% code completion deadline for the new features/changes of Fedora 24. More details can be found via this mailing list post.
Assuming no further delays, Fedora 24 Beta is scheduled to be released on 3 May while the official release is still slated to happen on 7 June. Fedora stakeholders are already worried about any further delays since any push-backs could complicate the Fedora 25 release schedule in getting that out the door prior to the year-end holidays. Delays or not, Fedora 24 is looking fantastic and can't wait to fire up the beta.
