A few weeks back we wrote briefly about Enlightenment landing a new launcher named Luncher. The Samsung developers have now posted more details about this project.

Stephen Houston, an intern at Samsung's Open-Source Group, wrote Luncher under the direction of Mike Blumenkrantz to replace the 10+ years old "Ibar" launcher.

Enlightenment Luncher makes use of EFL's new gadget API, window previews are now supported via pop-ups, and there are various usability improvements.

More details on Luncher along with some screenshots and a video of this new launcher for the lightweight Enlightenment via Samsung's open-source blog.
