Last month the Intel DRM driver on DragonFlyBSD was ported to match the upstream Linux 3.10 level of support and features after being based on Linux 3.9 previously in their porting of this open-source Intel graphics driver to BSD. The Radeon DRM driver is in the process of a similar bump with the DragonFlyBSD kernel catching up to this AMD Radeon kernel graphics driver from its Linux 3.10 state.

It was just yesterday that committed to DragonFlyBSD's Git kernel was updating the Radeon DRM to Linux 3.9 in order to add support for Oland and Richland hardware, updated code refactoring, and various stabilization improvements. This kernel driver update changed over two thousand lines of code.

While Radeon from Linux 3.9 just landed, Neumann has already announced a call for testing of Radeon Linux 3.10 DRM. The Linux 3.10 kernel code can be found via this kernel Git branch.

Now they just need to still catch up with nine more official releases of the Linux kernel full of many Intel and Radeon changes, plus the current in-development Linux 4.0. There's also the new AMDGPU kernel driver just around the corner that will need porting to BSD too.
