Debian Stretch Continues Eyeing GCC 6

Everything still is on target for making GCC 6 the default for Stretch; GCC6 is currently available in Debian Testing, build failures are being worked through in the testing/unstable world, and there will be some bug squashing parties this summer for trying to get GCC 6 into shape.
Matthias has a goal of seeing Stretch released without GCC 4.9 or GCC 5 being present. The hope is to make GCC 6 become the default compiler in July or around the time of the GCC 6.2 point release. Following the GCC 6 compiler becoming the default, Debian Stretch will also be upgrading to the latest GNU Binutils.
