Chrome Moving To A 4-Week Release Cycle

It was at the end of 2019 that Mozilla began shifting Firefox to a 4-week cycle and starting later this year Chrome will be doing the same.
With four weeks between Chrome milestones, Google is looking to ship new features faster. This change will begin with Chrome 94 due out in the third quarter. Google is also adding a new "Extended Stable" option where milestone updates will come every eight weeks with those versions being intended for enterprises.
More details on the plans of moving Google Chrome from 6 week to 4 week release cycles can be found on the Chromium.org blog.
