More Than 100 More AMDGPU DC Patches Line Up Ahead Of Linux 4.15

Harry Wentland of AMD today sent out 103 more DC patches of this new display code implementation for the AMDGPU Direct Rendering Manager driver.
Prominent changes include a hang fix for hotplug displays, hotplug not working after S3 suspends, multi-display support for Carrizo, more Raven Ridge APU enablement, updated DML code (described by Harry as a "GCC parseable hardware gospel"), a frame-buffer compression configuration option, corrected audio assignment, and other fixes.
AMDGPU DC is what allows for Raven RX Vega display support, HDMI/DP audio, atomic mode-setting, and other newer display features. Not yet queued are the final bits for FreeSync/AdaptiveSync support.
With these 103 patches, the code-base of DC ends up getting even larger, "85 files changed, 13615 insertions(+), 8494 deletions(-)."
