AMD Announces Radeon Software Crimson Edition, Radeon Settings

Radeon Software Crimson Edition is bringing a brand new control panel to replace their "Catalyst Control Center" for managing all of the relevant GPU settings. Radeon Settings is brand new from the ground-up. To much interest, Radeon Settings is written in the Qt tool-kit!
This new Radeon Settings software looks pretty nice, but AMD hasn't yet confirmed whether or not it will be the same under Linux -- hopefully considering its written in Qt! The previous Windows Catalyst Control Center was written in .NET while the Linux "AMDCCCLE" as completely different.
Radeon Software Crimson Edition isn't available yet, but is expected for release this month. I hope to find out how the Linux driver will be impacted soon; it's a bit concerning that there aren't any fglrx packaging changes yet for any new files or renaming amdcccle but hopefully Linux users will be greeted by Radeon Settings too.
There's already some Radeon Crimson discussion taking place within this forum thread.
