The Upgradeable Allwinner Dev Board That's Laptop-Compatible Raises $50k So Far

Many had their own opinions on this project with the article earlier this month generating more than 192 comments both for and against this dev board that starts out with an Allwinner A20 with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of Flash memory for $65. At $500 USD is when you can get the 3D-printed parts to build your own laptop using this EOMA68 computer module.
As of this week, the project has now surpassed $51,000 USD of their $150,000 goal while having just 27 days left for this goal to be realized.
Since the start of the project, they've also added Devuan and Fedora 24 as to be supported operating systems. Also added is a stand-alone cable kit, a "breakout board", and other improvements being discussed; see the updates page for the latest changes.
