I think this only happens with VMware Workstation with Linux as the host OS. The easiest way that I have found to trigger the issue is to have 2-3 VMs...Last edited by calc; 24 April 2022, 08:05 PM.

If I remember correctly the issue was that the kernel let you delete UEFI variables, which should be safe, and some manufacturer's firmware was not smart...

Fedora exists primarily as a source to feed into RHEL so you might not be far off. If Red Hat wants a major change to happen they do it first in Fedora...

That's not even remotely true.
UEFI wasn't even partially rolled out until during Sandy Bridge (2011-2013).

Boot up via a pristine ISO directly from Microsoft. Open a terminal window....

Those pro users aren't using even workstation systems, but multirack systems like HPE Superdome's that can handle 10s of TB of ram, which Apple has never...
