it's actually a pretty killer feature that Nvidia had promised 3 years or so back before apparently getting sidetracked on the video acceleration stuff....Last edited by fluxion; 02 May 2012, 05:11 PM.

thanks fryed_1, i guess that rules out inactive/active adapters and whatnot being at fault. eyefinity support just plain doesnt appear to work for linux...

yup, Disper was the tool...and something like that is what you end up needing to hotkey monitor enable/disable. i tried it not too long ago...didnt quite...

well...i'm a recent convert to ATI...my first linux box had an Nvidia TNT 32mb and my home desktop/laptops have always had nvidia since then... I agree...

in my case though dvi and hdmi work fine at the same time, its just when i try to enable the 3rd monitor, hooked up to displayport via a dp->vga adapter...

displayport -> vga adapter -> vga cable
hdmi -> hdmi cable
dvi -> dvi cable

true, sorry, i was thinking specifically about my card which is a bit weird as far as outputs (1 dvi, 1 dp, 1 hdmi, i.e. you need 1 active displayport...
