Is this new or just a manifestation of the ageold composition bugs in fglrx? I managed to install 10.4 from ati.com after the upgrade process didn't manage...

Outputting to a TV via HDMI doesn't work in 9.5 either.
Works fine in radeonhd using xrandr --output DFP1 --auto
Not so in 9.5... crashes...

I don't know why, but -vo gl2:yuv=3 or just gl2 or gl results in horrible flicker for me, with compositing. It supposedly works for other people? How...

Turning off desktop effects, I can get the patented crappy tearing xv video playback.
No luck with gl or gl2 though, the same slow playback...

Alt-tabbing & maximize/unmaximize became slow in Ubuntu 9.04/fglrx 9-4
Upgraded from Ubuntu 8.10 today, and using the same fglrx version, many common operations in compiz are VERY slow. Switching Maximize state (maximize/unmaximize)...Last edited by peppo; 24 April 2009, 05:29 PM.
