If you just want opencl support, only installing the "rocm-opencl" debian package works very well on unsupported Ubuntu/Debian versions IMHO....

To use the P-State driver on Ubuntu with a desktop CPU I had to do this:

That has nothing to do with AMD, it's just Mozilla that needs to tweak their sandbox setup. (It's also broken on Intel)...

I tried to get it to work now with 5.17-rc5, but didn't. The module is there so that's step 1. I tried adding "amd_pstate" to /etc/initramfs-tools/modules...

From a usage perspective, this isn't actually Freesync. :-)

It's more: Using the freesync capabilities of the hardware, create extra "virtual"...

It's from rocm-ocl-icd...

I added http://repo.radeon.com/rocm/apt/debian/

And then, don't install rocm-dkms, install rocm-opencl.......

Ubuntu 22.04 is based on "bookworm/sid" so it should be pretty similar, though it's not exactly the same of course.
