Yes but with MoltenVK problem is it's not and probably won't implement full Vulkan like native drivers. Metal doesn't support everything that Vulkan does....

Technically it probably would be possible but I doubt it will anybody will work on that. First of all it's difficult technically. macOS uses more complex...Last edited by dragon321; 10 May 2022, 02:19 AM.

I believe that there was an idea to merge new driver into Wine Staging first. As far i know it's still doesn't provide all features that X11 driver provides...

That's great to know. It will also improve support for Wine in aarch64 hosts (especially those without support for 32 bit like Apple M1) with x86 emulation....Last edited by dragon321; 08 May 2022, 05:17 PM.

This is release of previous Wine Wayland driver that doesn't support GDI or OpenGL and is mostly focused on full screen games. This driver is unlikely...

There is no feature parity between X11 and Wayland and won't be. It's not needed because there is no point of creating yet another big server that does...Last edited by dragon321; 27 April 2022, 04:02 AM.
