Last time I tried to add the stable padoka PPA to 17.10, it completely fucked up the system and I had to reinstall it.

Patching in it87 works for me but I have to repeat the process every kernel update and reboot....

I installed libva1 & libva-utils and ran vainfo:

That seems like an odd choice given there's already open source vulkan driver support. Why not transition now? Either AMD or whomever is developing the...
