I like the name Alvdal it can translate to "Valley of the Elves" it can also translate to "Valley of the river(s)" or maybe it should be "Elves Valley" or "Rivers valley" but the first sounds more magical.

As with most PTS codenames, just named after town in Norway: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alvdal

I know that you name every release after a town/place in Norway but that doesn't change anything since the village is named so because it's located in a valley right by the river GlÄma and close to where 2 rivers meets (Folla and GlÄma) and becomes one (GlÄma).
The meaning of the name is still the same and i still like it, and i will still think of it as Elvish
It's not uncommon that words has more than one meaning in Nordic languages.
