The most interesting recent Wine news IMO are the patches attached to https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32515 which finally add support for games protected by Valve's Custom Executable Generation DRM scheme. Now I can finally fire up W40k Space Marine or CoD:MW3! Never thought I'd see the day.

The Valve support, when asking for at least some CEG test cases and telling them that more and more people are complaining about the bug, is basically telling me: "Go fuck yourself!" (In "nicer" words, but anyway.)
His first problem was contacting Valve support. Everyone should know in this day and age that support people have no fucking clue what the fuck Wine even is. You need to contact Valve developers, preferably those who deal with Steam / Linux stuff, in order to get help for things like this.

I noticed that too - but he got there in the end. Nobody else made any progress on it in years!
