Feral Interactive has published the system requirements for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. As usual, it's the GPU/driver requirements that are always most interesting...

Might be Wine or some other compatibility layer derived..... too explain the high hardware requirements.

Feral ports used to be native in the past - apart from some audio middleware translation layer maybe.

They are probably assuming 4K resolution for the "recommended" specs.

This game is CPU and GPU bound. A lot of objects in every scene, moving pngs with clothing physics and good level of detail in every corner of Prague. Windows DX11 runs only playable on a core2quad rig, while with DX12 is flawless on the same machine. The problem must be the OGL overhead on AMD HW. I'll try to play it with radeonsi, I hope it will start.

Gosh, the game uses d3d12. Wake me when they have a Vulkan port.

Sure. CoD:BO3 eats about 12GiB on Max settings and 4K. One might not notice it when one is half-blind because it reduces the texture detail without much stuttering when the VRAM is exceeded but if you like to enjoy not only GFX but also nice textures which only cost video memory and have the most impact on the visuals the only thing you need is much much VRAM.
8GiB to 12GiB are a common guidance level for some of the newest games. The 16GiB cards launching next year are absolutely necessary to suit the demand on high res textures for 4K. Because 4K won't help if your textures remain as crappy that everything becomes blurry when you get close to the game object.

I'm not convinced BO3 is actually using that VRAM, rather is just allocating it.
