Phoronix: The Increasing Rate Of Linux News; Only 39% Of Site Traffic Is From Linux Desktops

With being so much into open-source/Linux quantitative performance benchmarking, it should be no surprise that I'm also into statistics and all sorts of numbers.....

Phoronix, Linux Hardware Reviews, Linux hardware benchmarks, Linux server benchmarks, Linux benchmarking, Desktop Linux, Linux performance, Open Source graphics, Linux How To, Ubuntu benchmarks, Ubuntu hardware, Phoronix Test Suite

I see the site getting linked a lot from non-Linux sites like PCPer and [H].

Yup. The Register has been shooting the odd link this way too lately. Good to see indeed.

Would have been interesting to see some referrer stats... perhaps with the significant ones' individual UA stats... Michael?

Also keep in mind, while probably not a significant number, some people use user-agent switchers so that they look like they're running other browsers, sometimes on other operating systems.

Michael, thanks for the statistics. As for the site traffic: In my case I'm a linux-only user at home (4 PC's) and at work we also use linux but the machine where I read phoronix, and where most of my Internet related work is done is Windows 7.
I'm thinking into using a user-agent switcher to make that a bit more "linux friendly"

32% from Windows is too high, just redirect them to some porn site to profit.

Same here. You won't spent your free time at home reading phoronix. You have to do it at work.

Can you redirect me to an OS with proper drivers and Crossfire support? You're ignorant.

Yip forced to use Windows at work. Seeing as how the OSX & iOS are so low and no mention of BSD in your figures at all does that mean we'll start to see less articles on these topics?
