And for the first time radeonsi implements something that r600 doesn't have already!

Show Mesa progress for the OpenGL, OpenGL ES, Vulkan and OpenCL drivers implementations into an easy to read HTML page.

It would be nice to have fp64 for the rv7** supporting it. Especially as radeon is the only remaining driver and the rv7** cards are not so bad compared to todays's amd entry level ones.

Dave implemented Fp64 support for cayman:

It shouldn't be too hard to port the necessary changes back to older asics. The r600 asics that natively supported doubles are:
            R600, RV670, RV770, RV740, Cypress, Cayman

the rv7xx really doesn't do fp64 all that well, it hasn't got all the opcodes ARB_gpu_shader_fp64 needs to make it just work, it's probably more targeted at OpenCL 1.0 double support than GL.

I can't even think of any apps that would use it either.

                Dave.

Thanks to Alex and Dave for the explanations.
Let's hope that one app will use the extension... for the sake of the ones which took the time to implement it
