    Awesome. As I've mentioned here previously, I did install Gentoo on my Amiga 1200 a few years back but I never got as far as trying X. Compiling aside, that wasn't quite as slow as you might think so I'm a little surprised by the reported slowness here. Maybe it is some TLS issue as he says. He should try uClibc instead.
