On reading the documentation at the destination of a link in the YAST blog, I'm pleased to see it is proposing a design with LVM volumes inside an encrypted partition. I'll have to spin up an ISO to see how it handles /boot - to my mind, it should be encrypted. Interesting that they support LUKS2, as I don't think GRUB2 officially supports it yet - it's not planned to be included in the forthcoming GRUB2 2.12 - the Argon2 support is not decided. I know that current grub-probe doesn't support LUKS2 volumes.
