    This release is definitely tracking MLT closely as MLT 7.8 added the Glaxnimate format as an acceptable video. From what I can tell, Shotcut is not used to make 2D animations, but it lets you take outputs from Glaxnimate or anything source that can generate the 2D animations and then add them into your video stream. It could be fun for animated logos on webcasts or in compositing an animation onto a regular video.

      Personally I prefer AVIDemux. I'm an expert at doing things it's not suppose to be able to do. Basically by using filters in unconventional ways. Maybe I'll play around with this too.
