    with the beta amd drivers improving opengl performance by up to 50% (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YH9-UAmtROs), i wonder how well mesa will compete with amd's windows drivers for opengl performance now.

      I heard the new OpenGL in Windows drivers works like Zink - It translates OpenGL to DirectX 11. Someone in Guru3d forums said it creates DirectX shader cache.
      That's why I predict that it might come close in performance to RadeonSi, but RadeonSi will still have the advantage. Also, remember that RadeonSi will support ACO in the future, so that's going to be another small performance gain.
