Does MT8192 (Kompanio 820) have AV1 hardware decode?

https://www.mediatek.com/products/tablets/mt8192 (not listed on specs sheet)

      Indeed Its not advertised.

This SoCs seem to be very nice.
However the situation is being improved on Mediatek SoCs support, they still lack a lot of support.
Probably they do have support but for Android devices, not openly in kernel mainline, which is a shame..

I could see a lot of SBC Computers using this SoCs, if they had good mainline support

Mediatek is also a RISC-V member.

I am optimistic they will at some point license RISC-V CPUs from somebody for their SoCs.

MediaTek is the SoC you will find in car audio applications most of the time. Good stuff.
