      Yes, please.
      Since kernel v4.1 there's annoying issue on HP Folio 1040 G1 - screen flickers at the top right corner. And there's no good options to workaround it. You need to apply kernel patch to disable DRRS. (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...x/+bug/1928138 ; https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/intel/-/issues/3441) or boot with "nomodeset" parameter.

        How common are laptops with displays that can do this? Is it plumbed all the way up through the stack for compositors to make use of it?
