          What about preliminary support for the SVG 2 draft?

          SVG is pretty cool but it does have some shortcomings. Things like centering text inside a rectangle is notoriously difficult. You cannot make a rectangle that adjusts to the size of the text, or text that wraps to newline instead of overlapping with the surrounding rectangle.
