Phoronix: After Reaching Vulkan 1.0 Conformance, V3DV Raspberry Pi Vulkan To Pursue Mainline Mesa

The V3DV driver for providing Vulkan support on the Raspberry Pi 4 is very close to Vulkan 1.0 conformance and once squaring that away along with other lingering bits they will be pursuing the upstreaming of this driver within Mesa...

    Great, just great!
Now I only want to see more desktop environments and game emulators having a Vulkan backend.

Lets say Hello to the forum!

It seams we see more progress by developing vulkan drivers compared to openGL drivers. With Zink
its look like wasted time to develop OpenGL anymore and they could focus on vulkan.

Of course Zink still need some push. Maybe its a way to see some progress on the mobile
device front and in a far future we have real free mobile operating systems.

OpenGL support for these devices looks like an never ending story.
