    Tons of performance impacts during the last months and now powersaving is shot to hell (3-4 Watts more when idle on my Coffeelake laptop). And there is not even the option to manually disable this power mitigation. definately my last Intel laptop. I'm fed up!

        Oh well. So that's why my laptop's battery time degraded so much after the last kernel upgrade. I now checked in powertop, GPU powered on 100%. Hope the fix lands in Debian soon.

            Can confirm the numbers, it's 2.1W vs. 3W here on Gemini Lake. If they had at least implemented a flag to turn that hacky workaround off, really bad decision making...
