    AFAIK Core-based tablets and laptops still can't reach S0i3 due to not working Intel AVStream 2500 and Intel IPU3 drivers.

    BayTrail-based tablets and should should be able to reash S0i3 with this kernel: https://github.com/jwrdegoede/linux-sunxi (master, and all fotrail branches newer than 4.18).

      Thank you RussianNeuroMancer ... I have an Asus UX501VW zenbook with a Skylake i7 and the provided script reported no support for S0ix. Do you think the problem is actually the aforementioned drivers (so just software) or also the hardware in my case?

        Did you checked BIOS setting, as recommended in the article? I seen on latest HP laptops that this option could be flipped on/off, but the name is different.

          Yes, of course. Unfortunately the Asus bios on my laptop is ridiculously limited and there's no such option.

            I wish that Intel would fix this bug: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109051
            That would be a great contribution to saving power.
