Phoronix: OpenChrome DRM Fixed An Annoying Bug, Working On Better DVI Support

Kevin Brace is the sole developer left working on the OpenChrome DRM driver for supporting integrated graphics from the days of VIA x86 hardware. He's hoping to mainline the driver in the Linux kernel but it still is lacking proper 2D acceleration and more...

Astonishing how one guy motivates himself all alone to get through that thing. I'm still keeping my VIA HW for the day of glory, when these chips will see KMS for the first time.
Besides, this HW is rather power efficient if you don't need much speed, most is passively cooled, so it makes a good base for some set up and forget boxes for machine driving via RS-232 and the like.
Stop TCPA, stupid software patents and corrupt politicians!
