    Phoronix: Intel Pushes Out New GEM, KMS Patches

    Developers at Intel's Open-Source Technology Center have been busy with a number of projects, and Jesse Barnes in particular has been active with a few kernel mode-setting and Graphics Execution Manager tasks. Among other recent work, Jesse has put out new patches for KMS and GEM on the DRI development mailing list. One patch adds support for mapping of GEM objects if the underlying graphics driver supports it...

    As it stands, there are very few games that run correctly on my Intel X3100. Most 3D games either will not run or are missing so much as to be unplayable. Does anyone see the Intel drivers improving to the point they are on Mac OS X or Windows?
