    According to this page, CC BY 4.0 is compatible with all versions of the GPL. So is the CC0 1.0, which is a public domain waiver.

      Obviously. CC-BY is the same "attribution-only" kind of license as the 2-clause BSD license and the various licenses referred to as "the MIT license". The hard part is making two "share under the same terms" licenses play nice together.

        What happens to this combatibility when someone uses Section 7 of GPLv3 to introduce restrictions contrary to SA ?
